 Bug #6105 references a problem with the way mythtv uses lcdproc 0.5
 priorities.  This has been fixed in trunk (rev [20559]), but not in the
 0.21-fixes branch.  lcdproc is about to release their 0.5.3 release, and
 it will not work with mythtv without this fix.  It would be nice to
 backport the fix to the 0.21-fixes branch so that distributions based on
 that branch will work with the 0.5.3 lcdproc release.

 I tried to simply reopen the previous ticket, but didn't have permission,
 hence this new ticket.
