 Just added an updated patch, that is a cleaned up version of previous and
 against current trunk.

 This patch allows MythTV to decode the subtitles, however there is an
 issue that causes the display of the subtitle not to work correctly.  The
 subtitle appears to be about twice the size it should be and centred off
 the screen at the top (when it should be down the bottom on the centre).
 You can only occasionally see the edge of the subtitle for very wide
 subtitles. So it is not very usable atm.
