 If I go into the playback profile and set both the primary and secondary
 deinterlacer to none works fine.

 But, I have a HD-HR also recording 1080i material so that is not a
 convenient solution...

 I could have sworn I saw this issue on the list a while ago but I cannot
 find the conversation nor a bug entry.
