 This bug can be closed.
 It was a bug in nvidia-drivers.
 Nvidia-drivers version 185.18.29 fixed it but introduced another nasty bug
 that caused audio drop outs on the spdif output.

 Nvidia-drivers 185.18.36 works like a charm.
 No tearing and no audio drop outs.
