Log:

1) Simplify Max OS X processor optimisation stuff.
2) Do [18693] properly. Problem was caused by -enable-proc-opt being
enabled on OS X by default, and Apple GCC not understanding -march=core2
(it is a fairly recent flag).
This meant we fell back to pentiumpro, which doesn't have sse2 defined,
which clashes with Apple's broken headers under 10.5. Sigh.
3) Some build envs don't have the path to the Qt libraries after [17961].
