 My god, it appears to have compiled on my HTPC!  This is a first.

 All the latest stuff:  Asus P5N7A-VM mobo (just released) with E8400 & 4GB
 RAM, Seagate 1 TB, Kubuntu 8.10 final.

 I'm afraid it's almost time to actually try it! Scary, after years of
 wanting this very system.

 But I don't know how to compile r5ktest.c .  I'll experiment with gcc.
