#5358: Backend + HDHR not functional on Mac OS X Leopard
-----------------------------------------------------+----------------------

Component: mythtv | Version: unknown
Severity: medium | Mlocked: 0
-----------------------------------------------------+----------------------
I tried running a mythtv 0.21 backend on Leopard 10.5.2 (Intel),
configured to talk to an HDHR. This configuration works fine under Fedora
8, but I wanted to try to migrate it to my Mac which has more storage and
a faster CPU to handle the comm flagging better.
The backend starts fine, and seems to be operating, but then dies as soon
as it is time to start recording. The log contains many entries of the
form:
The process has forked and you cannot use this CoreFoundation
functionality safely. You MUST exec().
Break on
__THE_PROCESS_HAS_FORKED_AND_YOU_CANNOT_USE_THIS_COREFOUNDATION_FUNCTIONALITY___YOU_MUST_EXEC__()
to debug.
Please let me know what other information I can provide to assist.
