Comment(by eric.bosch at comcast.net):
I had this same thing happen on my machine (Core 2 Duo x86_64). Was
watching live TV, everything was fine for a while, but after a scheduled
recording completed, a subsequent recording did not occur. At this point,
I lost keyboard/remote control, and noticed my memory usage was
skyrocketing. I have 4G of RAM. System at idle, watching live TV,
mythfrontend normally uses approximately 5.4% of RAM, but at the time this
was going on, usage was at 51% and climbing rapidly. I had to kill the
frontend and bounce the backend to get things to recover.
