 I am no longer able to reproduce this. I think this bug is caused by some
 kind of a locking error. The things changed after the last time this
 happened
 are:
   - I upgraded myth to the svn revision: 14432. I did this because of the
     latest dvd speed updates
   - I removed my old code that tried to keep the speed down with help of
     an external program. It was fired once a second or so from the media
     monitor loop.

 I think reducing the number of forks somehow fixed the problems with the
 wait.
