Comment:

 (In [13631]) Allows the play, pause and stop buttons to reflect the
 current state. This was inspired by #2935 but written entirely from
 scratch to avoid changing the UI type from a push button to a checkbox. It
 should therefore work with all existing themes.

 Closes #2935
