Comment:

 *sigh* ''Nevermind.''  It turns out that all the current themes but one
 seem to have the inactive button graphic as their <image>, which aside
 from unnecessary repaints, is the reason this problem appears in the first
 place.

 I swear I'll get an actual bug soon.
