 gtgj, Isaac's patch should work, but I found another similar problem as
 well which is addressed in 3842-head-dbg-2.patch. QFile does not close a
 file or pipe when you call QFile::close() after opening with a FILE
 pointer, so this function has been leaking file descriptors for a while.
 We were also closing the FILE pointer as a pipe regardless of whether it
 was a pipe or a file (pipes must be closed with pclose and files with
 fclose, otherwise they are the same).
