 (In [9326]) References #1488, adds an OSDImage cache by applying modified
 patch.

 This speeds channel changing for me by 500 to 1000 milliseconds. I'm just
 committing it to SVN head for now, but if there are no problems I'll apply
 it to 0.19-fixes later.
