 I won't be much of a help here because I can't code, I'm sorry.

 We could ask levon to take a look at it (if anyone can contact him) or I
 could let you access my DBox2. This could either be done via some ssh
 tunnels so you can connect directly to my Dbox2 or I could create some
 kind of virtual machine where you could do everything you ever wanted ;).
 If you're located overseas, latency might be an issue, though.
