Comment:

 Yes, this does fix the show ending/show starting problem.

 But, now if I change the channel 2 or 3 times the frontend just  gos to
 the black screen and freezes.

 Pressing ESC 2 times takes me back to the menu.

 If I just do a channel up the second channel up cause the black screen.
 If you just around it does it on the third channel switch.
