 Unfortunately the latest patch doesn't work. It seems that the frontend
 likes to hang (endless loop) on line 460 of NuppelVideoPlayer.cpp  in
 NuppelVideoPlayer::PauseVideo(bool wait). The line is:

 videoThreadPaused.wait(&pauseUnpauseLock, 250);

 It seems that FC6's current gdb has some problems but the  code does print
 the debug message line "VERBOSE(VB_IMPORTANT, "Waited too long for video
 out to pause");" over and over again, but is unable to break from the
 loop.

 My personal test setup is one serial-lirc based remote controller, sticky
 fwd/rev keys enabled and the hang usually occurs whenever I'm seeking
 backwards and pressing the play to continue normal playback.
