 I've been using this patch for a few weeks and it's been working very
 well. I use the new 'subtitle else description' for most programs and it
 helps a lot on UK EIT.

 HOWEVER, it should not change the default method. This should stay as
 'subtitle and description', otherwise you risk missing recordings
 accidentally (this has happened to me twice).
