Comment:

 Reporter does not give steps to reproduce, did not respond to info query
 three weeks ago, and I can not reproduce the problem with SVN head.

 The problem appears to be due to regenerating the preview repeatedly, so
 this is probably due to permissions problems with the recording directory
 which we perform some acrobatics to work around in SVN head.
