 I can put it in this weekend and run it over next week to see how it
 works. The only other thing in the patch was monkeying with priorities in
 the reader and writer threads. If your patch works, I'll have to move the
 priority bump from the MPeg thread to DeviceReadBuffer, and I'll submit a
 new ticket.
