Log Message:

Mfd, client library, and mdcap support for editing playlists over the wire. 

This now works. Edit playlists in your mfe, see them change in iTunes.

Only thing still to come is to persist the changes back to the database
(right now, when you kill off your mfd, all changes are lost).
