Vsync hang patch from Paul Anderson:

"When people have faulty x 
server drivers, like I did with via, the video display thread crashes
while choosing a vsync method.  Nothing is displayed on screen but some
audio is played.  "waiting for free video buffers timed out" is printed
to stderr and the kernel log has the crash details. This also helps with
nvidia kernel modules."
