    <p>For Comcast/Xfinity I use Fire Sticks instead of the X1 box. 
      Less monthly fees and the fire stick can be tuned with adb, using
      scripts.</p>
    <p>Make sure you do not get the file stick "select". That runs vega
      OS and when I checked, the xfinity stream app on vega os did not
      recognize my network, it assumed I was away from home because of
      the way amazon emulates the application. Also vega os will not
      support adb.</p>
    <p>If you want to use the X1 box you may need an IR blaster, if the
      X1 box has an IR remote.</p>
