This problem is more of a ‘rare nuisance’ but it appears some of
the ‘news crawls’ (*) create a problem with MythTV recordings. v34
for certain; probably v31 also – LIS the problem occurs rarely.

Jeopardy! – crawl at the bottom because of the snowstorm. No
pixelations noted; all of a sudden the display exits to the
programme

recordings to watch). Re-select to play, starts playing at the
last

same spot.

it just exited, but AFAICT not related to anything in the text of
the

then
maybe 5 minutes later, then 3….

on
the Backend is 2.1GB. I tried to copy so I could offer to send to
someone to check for the problem but the copies are only 786.1 MB

which is that first exit point at 13:44 in. Copying methods
included
mget, then tried to copy to a Thumbdrive to Sneakernet to this
computer: cp, copy to, drag-and-drop (I know probably all the
same). All stopped at 786.1 MB. Drag-and-drop did give me a
progress bar of
“786.1MB/2.1GB” and just then sits there, finally erroring with
“error splicing file”. (So the 786.1 MB point is the same as the
first exit I experienced,)
