said the show was still recording as I had added extra
time and it would end at 1230am. I hit stop recording. I
went to check the recording and it was only 81 minutes
long, far short of the 3+ hours it said it had been
recording. The recording drive had over 120 gigs of free
space. It wasn't showing up as damaged. Why would the
backend status be saying it was still recording if it
had stopped 2 hours earlier?</div>

<div>I also recorded the Grammys last night on my CBS
affiliate station(1080i MPEG2). I had 1 hour extra time at
the end and 1 minute at the beginning. That's 271 minutes,
21.65 GB per Web App, 20.16 GB per mythfrontend and 21G per
Linux <span style="font-family:monospace">ls -h</span>
command.</div>

<div>I do not show any status that shows it's still
recording. However, I have had situations where
mythfrontend upcoming recordings listing did show a program
"recording" for days when it was not and didn't show that
anywhere else. These programs were, however, only partial
LiveTV programs initiated by Leanfront. Since Leanfront
creates a real recording to do its LiveTV I figure something
gets stuck occasionally but can't find any additional
evidence to identify the cause of the problem.</div>

If the capture card fails, goes offline, signal stops, etc. it still
shows recording until the original end time. However in those cases
it will show the recording as damaged. Perhaps when you stop the
recording it cancels the damaged indicator. Look at the backend log
and see if there are any error messages during the time when it was
not actually recording.<br>
