I use mythtv on git, the master branch. I updated my mythtv

Perhaps some other application is listening on 6544 ?

Try a different browser ?

Try http://localhost:6744 (that port is a duplicate of 6544, it
does the same as 6544)

What does the download page look like? Is it a MythTV page?

Perhaps you changed the port number in mythtv-setup? It is called
the "status port" in mythtv-setup.

You can still use the deprecated mythtv-setup to check the port
number.
