<div dir="ltr">Hey all,<div><br></div><div>Trying to revisit my setup where my combo backend / frontend issues alerts when a recording is failing, or another where when playback stops on a particular frontend. </div><div><br></div><div>Right now, it's setup to put a mythtv notification on screen when these events occur, and it uses espeak to state what the notification is, but for times when I'm out of the room or out of the house, ideally I'd like the notification to go to my phone. </div><div><br></div><div>I've tried using kdeconnect-cli, but since this command is run by the mythtv user in the background, it has problems connecting to the d-bus, and also to the display. I've tried various ways to get around this, but  to no avail.</div><div><br></div><div>I've also just tried using the notify-send command, but similar issues, which I've not figured out the right combo of xhost + command or dbus-run-session commands. About to give up.</div><div><br></div><div>I figure others have had this issue and figured it out??   What do you all do??</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks,</div><div><br></div><div><br clear="all"><div><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature">-- George</div></div></div></div>
