<p>A few details missing (or I overlooked) which are necessary to
help answer your question. At my location I am also using indoor
antennae (one for the MythTV Backend, then other for TV). Both
face south, towards one antenna farm (~15 miles) where most of the
local stations transmit. About three miles to the north is
another antenna farm with two TV stations. MythTV and the TVs
have no problems: the 1,000 KW ERP stations in both directions are
max signal, weaker ones have some issues when windy but that's
propagation issues.<br>

<p>So, dependent on signal strength and other factors it might not
be necessary for that second antenna. If you do need two you
might be looking into channel attenuators. These block a specific
RF frequency -- and remember you want to block the transmitting
frequency, not the PSIP frequency. (Here "Channel 6" which was
analog RF6 is transmitting on digital RF17 -- you'd want to
attenuate RF17.) ...Well, I hate to say it but I can't find what
I'm describing! I have a couple of 'antique' ones downstairs --
know one blocked RF3. At the time maybe cost $10 each. Did see
articles on-line where could create your own.</p>

<p>A good signal level utility is femon (part of dvbtools). I have
not tried with MythTV but have on a Raspberry Pi using Kaffeine as
the tuner.</p>
<p>Hope helps somewhat -- the signal attenuation idea was good until
I couldn't find a parts source!</p>
