I am trying to use the leanback frontend, getting
setup working properly. And the backend status is
showing up correctly when selecting info.

When I select Recording rules, the current recording
rules do show up on it.
When I select upcoming recordings, all upcoming
recordings(active or not) show up in the list.

Nothing tho shows up on the guide listings, and
nothing shows up on the recording lists.

When I do a refresh lists, the busy icon circles for a
few moments, and then exits back to the FireTV
display.

I am using the arm 32 bit version, and not the arm 64
version.

Also I am running mythtv backend master,
v34.0~master.202308141618.9a6bbd3840~ubuntu22.04.1

The mythtv frontend master version is working well on
the firetv 4k.. with an occasional ‘frame skip’ I can
see when there is an info crawl at the bottom of the
screen.

Any ideas what I’m doing wrong? I am using the
leanback version from about a week ago.

I have since hard reset the Firetv 4k, and have only
installed only the leanback frontend and nothing else
installed, and am still having the leanback program
crash when starting it.
Are there any debug or logs I can capture in the back
end to figure out what is going on? Or logs I can
capture on the leanback frontend ? I would really like
to get this working on the firetv.
Help! :-)
Have you tried this?

https://github.com/bennettpeter/android-MythTV-Leanfront#debugging

Ok, I have ‘muddled’ thru adb, and captured about 1 MB from
it. I tried putting the whole thing onto pastern, but was too
big.

I then grepped out all lines with leanfront, and then grepped
all lines with ‘lfe’ and put on pastebin with the following
link.

The leanfront lines are first followed by a separator line
with ‘-‘ repeated followed by the lines with ‘lfe’ in them. I
set the pastebin to be alive for 1 week.

Here is the pastebin link: https://pastebin.com/475Qt9Sb

I didn’t see anything in particular that stood out to me.

Let me know if there is any more info needed.

Regards!

I cannot see the cause of the crash from the log. I can see it
crashed. Can you extract a few seconds of the complete log before
and after the message that contains WIN DEATH . The WIN DEATH
message is the best indication that it has crashed. There will
likely be an exception message that could tell more. In particular
I think the messages around time 10-23 12:57:00.697 will tell
where it crashed.
