I see a lot of discussion on here about version 34 and I’m wondering if it is ready for a non-developer to move to yet?<br>

What are the advantages of 34 over 33? <br>

Is mythweb, that I know and love, still fully functional in v34? I’ve never had much success with webfrontend, so I don’t want to be forced into using that just yet.<br>

Playing with it on a test machine is going pretty good for me and I have not had any major failures that missed recording a show or something disastrous like that.</div><div><br></div><div>Some of us are being test monkeys and trying to break it to find problems particularly with the new Web App. I know you mentioned Mythweb. That has been broken for some time for me. Editing rules, particularly templates doesn't work for me. That and a lot of other things work better for me on the new Web App introduced in v34. When you are bored and want to play, spin up a VM with Ubuntu and ppa for v34 and see how you can setup the backend without mythtv-setup.
