After upgrading Ubuntu, did you re-enable the Mythbuntu PPA do an
upgrade:

apt update && apt full-upgrade && apt autoremove

I have seen that upgrade fail to upgrade the mythbackend package.
Re-running it after all the other packages have been upgraded succeeds
in upgrading mythbackend.
