If you have only a small number of files(s), then why not do it manually using something like <br>
avidemux? It would save you a lot of immediate bother short-term when you would rather be converting <br>
the file(s) and not distracted by upgrading your system.<br>

Do I need to get the equivalent time stamps and specify them somehow? A quick look at info on the web gives the impression it's like audacity for video instead of audio, so using the time stamps of the cut points would be how to snip out the extraneous parts. Is that right?<div style="color:rgb(136,136,136)" dir="auto"><br></div><div style="color:rgb(136,136,136)" dir="auto">--</div><div style="color:rgb(136,136,136)" dir="auto">Craig.</div></div><div class="gmail_quote" dir="auto"><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"></blockquote></div></div>
