<div dir="ltr"><div dir="auto">Hi,<div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">I have a MythTV 0.28 (Ubuntu 16.04.6 LTS) setup based on TBS 6281 that used to work in the UK. I have moved to Poland and try to run my recorder again. Unfortunately, the setup does not seem to work anymore, as the mythtv backend reports "unknown error" for both my dvb adapters. I tried to do a system update and recompiled the kernel drivers. All went fine, modules loaded properly, two devices appeared in /dev/dvb, but when I try to check the device details I have an error message as below:</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><font face="monospace">$ sudo lsdvb<br><br>             lsdvb: Simple utility to list PCI/PCIe DVB devices<br>            Version: 0.0.4<br>                Copyright (C) Manu Abraham<br><br>SAA716x Budget (1131:7160 6281:1) on PCI Domain:0 Bus:2 Device:0 Function:0<br>     DEVICE:0 ADAPTER:0 ERROR: Open frontend0 failed<br></font></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">I suspect the tuner card must be broken somehow, perhaps during transport, but would like to rule all other possibilities out before spending money on the new card. Could anybody suggest what else could be done to confirm hardware problem?</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Thanks,</div><div dir="auto">Greg</div></div>
