I have been following this thread and have seen a similar issue with<br>
some of the m3u8 entries in the m3u file.<br>
<br>
I have a total of 8 entries in the m3u file. Of those 5 work, though a<br>
couple of these will fail on occasion. I cannot get the other 3 to lock<br>
at all. I have set the tuning time-out to the maximum of 65000 seconds,<br>
but the result is unchanged. All 8 entries will stream when using vlc.<br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>A bit more work to setup, but you could use the "generic" ExternalRecorder application to leverage VLC to record instead of using the built-in HLS recorder.</div><div><br></div><div><a href="https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Example_Configuration_files">https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Example_Configuration_files</a></div><div><a href="https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/ExternalRecorder">https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/ExternalRecorder</a></div><div><br></div><div>If you setup "channels" like in the example, you then "scan" those channels into MythTV. The ExternalRecorder does support multi-rec, which basically just means that overlapping recordings will work. You can create multiple ExternalRecorder configurations, which would allow you to record that many channels from that source simultaneously.</div><div><br></div><div>The wiki documentation could use some work, so please contribute if you can improve them. I am pretty busy these days, but will try to answer questions.<br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>John<br></div></div></div>
