Then I selected mythtv:CARD:ALSA. That gave me good HDMI sound except for the PBS station either recorded or liveTV.</div><div><br></div></div></div></blockquote><br></div><div>The newly created mythtv:CARD:ALSA device looks exactly like the default ALSA device, but it doesn’t work. So I’ll blindly stick with mythtv:CARD:ALSA even though I’m on the latest Raspbian and it has the IEC958/HDMI device. I’ll keep playing with the audio to learn why.</div><div><br></div><div>The only audio problem now is live or recorded tv from a PBS station. you hear the sound, but it drops out every few seconds.
