This is normally caused by a conflict with something you already
have installed. Do you already have any mythtv components installed,
perhaps from another version? Try dpkg --list and see what mythtv
packages you may already have installed.<br></div></blockquote><div><br></div><div>It's a brand new VM, and I haven't installed anything beyond apt-get upgrade to make sure all OS packages are up to date.</div><div>I double checked the 'dpkg -l' to verify no previous attempts partially succeeded and left mythtv packages -- I confirmed that none were present. </div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><div text="#000000" bgcolor="#FFFFFF">
