just one further question - is there a way I can call up the
on-screen keyboard in live TV so that I can enter channel
numbers and change to a new channel easily? At the moment, I'm
calling up the TV Guide, but it's a bit of a clunky way to
change channels.

I don't think that is possible. You can change channels by using the
arrow keys. Up and down arrow keys will display details of the next
or previous channel (while the current channel continues playing),
then you can press enter to select it. So to go from channel 702 to
706 you could press up arrow 4 times and see the program details for
channel 706 then press enter to select it. This may be a little less
clunky than going to the program listing.
