Also, I appreciate the links from mtdean but I can't do anything on the TV as a monitor because of the small fonts. Here is a section from xorg.conf that seems to lack specifics<br>

You could either shell in from another system or bring up a terminal and then use it to bring up another with bigger fonts by "blind" typing in something like:<br>

xterm -fs 72<br>
<br>
or whatever is appropriate for your term of choice.<br>
