<div dir="ltr">You're running the <a href="http://mythconverg_restore.pl" target="_blank">mythconverg_restore.pl</a> command as yourself, but you don't have access to the DB as yourself and cannot read the /etc/mythtv/config.xml file as yourself (usually).<br><br>You need to use sudo, assuming that root@localhost will have password free access to the DB:<br><br>sudo ./<a href="http://mythconverg_restore.pl" target="_blank">mythconverg_restore.pl</a> --create_database --directory ~ --filename mythconverg-1344-20180804112717.sql.gz --verbose<br><div><br></div><div>Have you reinstalled MySQL and MythTV from packages in your distribution?  If so, the files should be there.  If you don't have files in the directories: /etc/mysql and /etc/mythtv, you'll need to install the packages to get them back or restore them from backup if you've also restored the rest of the system from a backup.  If it's a newly built system, install the packages again.<br></div><div><br></div>Cheers, Ian<br><div class="gmail_quote"><br></div></div>
