<div dir="ltr">I recently installed MrMC on my Apple TV 4.   It’s a version of Kodi that I was surprised to see available in the app store.  I really like the MythTV app that’s been around since the launch of the AppleTV 4, but this app has some advantages.<div><br></div><div>It supports MythTV via the Kodi DVR plugins.   It’s really easy to set up, and I found it to work quite well.  </div><div><br></div><div>- Playback is a little better than the MythTV app store app.   Skip ahead has lots of macro blocking in the MythTV app, and is quite good in MrMC.</div><div>- It supports Live TV (not something I use, but it’s important to some)</div><div>- UX is a little better than the native Kodi —  Exit/Escape works as expected in AppleTV.</div><div>- MrMC seems to be actively maintained, the MythTV app hasn’t been updated in quite a long time.</div><div>-MrMC supports Kodi features (HDHomerun integration,  play videos from your file shares, etc. etc.)</div><div><br></div><div>It’s not perfect..  I’m still trying to figure out some basic operations like deleting a recording.   But, for good playback within AppleTV, it looks like a really good option.</div></div>
