a problem (with both SLiM and LightDM) that it sometimes fails to<br>
autologin. It feels like a race condition where it attempts to<br>
autologin before the window manager is fully started.<br>

So I would be happy if people could tell me what combination of<br>
display manager and window manager you are using.<br>

It must support autologin but doesn't have to be fancy or anything.<br>

2nd on the ratpoison, though I use an auto-login shell (mingetty, lauched via systemd /w restart) for my frontends (as they  are dedicated front-ends, not used as desktops - ever.). I know with this setup, I don't technically need a WM, but it does help with some of the keyboard/focus issues I've had in the past... but can't get much more light weight then ratpoison.<span class="HOEnZb"><font color="#888888"><br>
