Thank you, Mark and Greg. The solution was opaque but
documented. See
<a moz-do-not-send="true" class="moz-txt-link-freetext"
href="https://github.com/tschaumburg/MythRecordings.bundle/wiki/2.2-MythTV-networking-setup">https://github.com/tschaumburg/MythRecordings.bundle/wiki/2.2-MythTV-networking-setup</a>.<br>
<br>
I changed the MythTV backend setup from 127.0.0.1 to 192.168.0.5,
but that did not help. Then I changed the Plex bundle plugin's
setup from 192.168.0.5 to 127.0.0.1 and it worked! I don't
understand why this works, but I confirmed it with nmap: <br>
<br>
sudo nmap -p 6544 -sS 192.168.0.5 returns "6544/tcp closed mythtv"
<br>
and<br>
sudo nmap -p 6544 -sS 127.0.0.1 returns "6544/tcp open mythtv"!<br>

That's strange.. I always use 192.168.1.7. ,I did check my setup and
it shows both address's working and ports open... It must be
something unique to my setup,but good to know.. I'm glad you got it
up and running..<br>
