I haven't installed the plugins. Don't usually need them... So
given that,

what could be causing MythTV-Light to "think that my backend
database

is from a decade ago???
I always backup, but my NAS box is offline while I am moving
it to the other

side of my house. I am also re-wiring in that area, so it
will take a bit

longer. However, I guess my point here, is that I shouldn't
need to

update my database, given that I am running the latest
version of 0.28 fixes.

Even if I need to update the database for some reason for
MythTV-Light,

how would I do that, since that would seem to have to be done

locally on the server itself.

Thanks
I got this same error but I did not want to even gently touch my
0.27 backend because it's working well with just about everything
except Raspberry Pi frontend installs.
ie. neither RPi Mythtv or RPi Kodi can see it while a X86 Kodi
install and W7 media player work very well when used with this
backend.

I then bought a new extra HD and did a fresh 16.4 mythbuntu install
on it and ended up with an package that can only be seen by mythweb
and a UpnP streamer box.
This mess! seems to be rooted in a database password mismatch which
blocks all of my efforts to fix it even to the point of having
??something?? putting a new mangled password back into the .xml file
after I change it to match that used in other spots.

I have a large pile of extra SD cards and lots of spare hardware so
I can try just about anything new but I really hate killing stuff
that is working.

Thanks,
