I want to move a handful of recordings to an external USB
drive I have attached to my system. I know I need to add the
directory to my storage groups, but how do I make the
directory available to Watch Recordings but not available to
new recordings?
Create a new storage group and give it any name. Add your USB drive
to that. It will look on that drive for recordings to play but will
not select it for new recordings unless you specify the storage
group in the recording rule, which you will not do.
