At present I am using the default driver. When I was first
experiencing the bounce issue, I tried a number of different
things to get rid of it. When I found something that worked
(which turned out to be going back to lirc 0.9.3a with the
default driver), then I quit playing around.

Using the default driver on same hardware I get similar results:

000000037ff07bfe 00 KEY_1 kallekula
000000037ff07bfe 01 KEY_1 kallekula
000000037ff07bfe 00 KEY_1 kallekula
000000037ff07bfe 00 KEY_1 kallekula

However, the default configuration is quite sensitive for long
keypresses and easily sends a repeat event. In the log above, the
first two events comes from the same keypress - this can be seen in
the second number which is incremented each time a single keypress
sends several events. The third and fourth line are separate
(short) keypresses, both with a fresh '00' counter.

The repeat events generating an incremented second digit is the kind
of repeats which can be suppressed either in the lircd.conf file or
the lircrc one as discussed earlier in this thread.
