<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>Hi,<br><br></div> MythTV seems to be accessing my 'Videos' storage group hourly and one of the directories is autofs-mounted so it's being remounted repeatedly. Is there any way to prevent this?<br><br></div> I recently set up an old Windows machine in the garage to use for watching TV when exercising. I decided that rather than waste space I'd set up its videos as an SMB share so the MythTV machine can use it. The Windows machine is mostly asleep, but I use autofs to send it a Wake-On-Lan whenever the mount point is accessed. This works brilliantly, and the files are accessible on the MythTV machine with barely a detectable pause.<br><br></div> However, last night I added the mount point to the 'Videos' storage group and since then the windows machine hasn't gone to sleep. Looking through the logs, it appears that the share is being accessed almost exactly every hour by the MythTV machine so it is never being left alone long enough to sleep.<br><br></div> Does anyone know what MythTV is doing? And is there any way to tell it not to?<br><br></div>thanks,<br></div><br></div>tom<br></div>
