<p dir="ltr">My aspect ratio saga with the channel has ended but it feels like a hollow victory. </p>
<p dir="ltr">After the network operations head CC's the station engineer into the conversation I wake up this morning to discover the retro network is now properly broadcasting in 4:3. However the station guy sends us photos of a monitor and signal device showing the pillarboxed channel. "It's been like this all along."</p>
<p dir="ltr">Except last night TSReader showed the signal as 480 X 480i 16:9 and this morning it's 720 X 480i 4:3. Obviously a change was made but you can tell by the tone of their responses that the network guy is accepting the station guy's version of events. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Ain't that the way the world turns. </p>
