Hi again,

Next problem.

To cut down the MythTV downtime (as I thought), I installed mythtv to my new disk using a different pc and restored the old 0.24 database there. So as not to cause conflicts I used a different hostname, before dismantling the server and upgrading the disks. I then changed the hostname back to the original (again, as I thought) Now I can't get mythfrontend to find the videos in my storage groups.

Lookimng at mythfrondent log, I see that I made a mistake in the cas sensitivity of the hostname. I've tried correcting it back again in all config.xml files and deleting/re-creating storage groups, but the type sticks. Here's a line from mythfrontend.log:
eb 13 22:10:50 MYTHBOX mythfrontend.real: mythfrontend[5169]: W VideoScanner videoscan.cpp:288 (verifyFiles) SG(mythbox) not available. Not removing file :...

What's my best bet?

Where might the MYTHBOX hostname be stored? I've corrected it in /etc/hostname and/etc/hosts as well as all the config.xml files I can find.

Should I drop mythconverg and restore it again from the backup I made before taking down the old system?

BR.

--Marius--
