Exactly. Right at the point that the error log occurs there's a slight<br>
video glitch in the recording. From that point on, video returns to normal<br>
but audio is gone. I use kodi as a frontend, and the video will continue to<br>
play, silently. If you try to select an audio track, it won't let you (the<br>
audio track list is greyed out) (kodi selecting audio tracks works fine<br>
w/unaffected mythtv recordings).<br>

The affected mpg file will crash VLC when it gets to the "glitch". It will<br>
load in mplayer, but shows 0 audio tracks.<br>

I've download the affected mpg files to my non-myththv computer to see if<br>
it's a linux-specific thing that causes the file not to play. But when<br>
downloaded to my mac, at least, the affected mpg recordings won't play<br>
either. "Normal" mpg files download from the mythtv backend play perfectly<br>
on that mac.<br>

You could try running your file(s) through Handbrake as a test, just doing video copy/ audio copy. Handbrake seems to have the ability to "repair" certain levels of glitch or transmission corruption.<span class="HOEnZb"><font color="#888888"><br>
