Right at the point that the error log occurs there's a slight video glitch in the recording. From that point on, video returns to normal but audio is gone. I use kodi as a frontend, and the video will continue to play, silently. If you try to select an audio track, it won't let you (the audio track list is greyed out) (kodi selecting audio tracks works fine w/unaffected mythtv recordings). </div><div><br></div><div>The affected mpg file will crash VLC when it gets to the "glitch". It will load in mplayer, but shows 0 audio tracks.</div><div><br></div><div>I've download the affected mpg files to my non-myththv computer to see if it's a linux-specific thing that causes the file not to play. But when downloaded to my mac, at least, the affected mpg recordings won't play either. "Normal" mpg files download from the mythtv backend play perfectly on that mac. </div><div><br></div><div>> Does the point at which problems happen tend to align with program transitions to / from commercials or something similar? Or after x min of recording?</div><div><br></div><div>This is PBS, which I have flagged as commercial-free in the mythtv-setup channel editor.</div><div><br></div><div>As far as I can tell the ProcessPAT errors seem to occur randomly. Sometimes it'll be in the first few seconds of the recording, sometimes in the last few minutes, and sometimes in the middle of the show. When it happens, I do a "delete and rerecord." Sometimes the rerecorded show has the same error, but it's in a different spot.</div><div><br></div><div>The HDHomeRun device's webpage says there's 100% signal lock and strength on the channel, so I assume it's not a wiring issue. It seems to be isolated to particular PBS channels on my Verizon FIOS cable (mostly to 23-1), which all are various subchannels of the same channel 70. I doubt it is hardware-related as I had no problems recording these stations before I switched to mythtv from Next PVR on windows. and the live video appears fine in VLC from the hdhomerun directly.</div><div><br></div><div>I've tried deleting channels, deleting transports, and rescanning both. I've tried deleting the capture cards and restarting backend setup from scratch. I've rescanned the HDHomeRun using both its webserver and the linux hdhomerun_config tool. But nothing has worked to eliminate these errors. I have all the EIT-related options unchecked and am using SchedulesDirect for listings.</div><div><br></div><div>What's going on?
