<p dir="ltr">I also had this problem since 4.3.3 came out. It is still there in 4.5.0-rc0. I filed a Bugzilla with Redhat 1302875.<br>
I see that you also have lirc_zilog, mine is part of an Hvr1600. Under 4.3.3 and later I don't see the i2c dialogue nor a firmware load for the zilog so the <br>
/dev/lirc0 entry is never created. </p>
